NEW TO WORX?

If this is your first time, here are some tips which will help you have a great visit
We open the doors 15mins before every class. There is a 5 minute countdown before the classes in the studio and outside to get everyone focussed. If it’s your first time please arrive 15 minutes before when we open. Just so you have time for a quick hello and to get some information from the Team.
There are bike racks opposite the studio in Conference Square. They can be full sometimes so you may have to walk to a set across the square or lock your bike to the railings. Bring a good lock. Thieves can cut a basic lock easily. We have one spare lock which we can lend you if you forget a lock (but just one so it is first come first served).
Yes but all carparking is metered nearby so check the timings. It is generally free to park after 6.30pm on weekdays and on a Sunday morning. The nearest street parking is in Rutland Square (walk over the flyover bridge across the Western Approach Road once you park and you will be on Exchange Crescent) and Gardiners Crescent (near the EICC). There are carparks at Castle Terrace and on Semple Street. See the map on the contact us page for our location.
These take place right outside the studio. We might do a jog/run around the square during the class but you will otherwise always be very close to the studio.
We do not have lockers. The doors are locked during the class and you can leave your belongings in the changing rooms or you can take anything you like (exc pets or bikes or other things that should stay outside) into the. You can take your phone in to the studio if you want. There are holders for phones on the bikes and rowers.
Something lightweight and comfy. A t-shirt and shorts or leggings or similar is fine. No long tops(below your bum) on the rower as they will catch on the seat. Trainers on your feet (or bike shoes if you want on the bike – you do not have to have those and see below about clipping in). For our Outdoor classes please wear layers in case it gets cold or rains. There is some shelter but you might want to take layers off or put them on.
WATER. Or at least a water bottle as you can fill it up at the sinks. We are trying to reduce single use plastic consumption, so we don’t have bottled water. Maybe a small sweat towel to take into the studio if you want one.
No. You can ride in trainers. Clipping is good though so if you have a pair bring them. You need ones with SPD (mountain bike) cleats. We do not hire any out.
Yes. Please bring your own towel if you can. We have hairdryers and straighteners. Bring your own toiletries. We have some shower gel but that is it.
YES YES YES. You can take it at your own level. You can do as much or as little of the session as you feel you can manage or want to do. Our classes are for all levels. You can push yourself at your own level.
If you have not been well or have any specific medical issues or needs always check with your doctor before doing any kind of exercise which you are not used to.
The Concept2 Bike Ergs, Ski Ergs and Row Ergs capture and display lots of data and you can link them to most smart watches (not fitbits). There is also an ErgData App in the Appstore that you can use.

YES IT IS! Grab a free coffee after the morning classes. Take it with you or stay and drink it and chat to the WORX community.

Our Ride classes are indoor cycling using a Concept2 Bike Erg. The classes are a mix of longer steady endurance riding sections and HIIT/high intensity interval training. THERE IS NO DANCING AND THERE ARE NO PRESS-UPS ON THE BIKES. We think these moves are more effective done off the bike and we don’t do these in our classes. Our Ride classes will get you very fit without doing these movements. You will get a great workout.
